2nd Wednesday

Today was our last day of ministry and it was highly anticipated by everyone specially the folks here. What was started with the “Brother’s Retreat” on our first day here, it build into a highly anticipated “Sister’s World” workshop. We had an attendance of 53 ladies that wanted to hear how to be a better wife and how to raise their children. About 1/3 were regular members, 1/3 infrequent members and 1/3 were non-Christians visitors. The workshop was a success and the only thing wrong was that it was too short because the ladies still had lots of questions after it ended.

After that we went to a meeting of recovering gambling addicts lead by brother Hung at his restaurant “El Delfin.” It was a great meeting and we were moved listening to testimonies about their addiction and how God help them to break it. Gambling has definitely brought lots of pain and suffering to the Chinese community here.

In the late afternoon they took us to hotel Bougainvillea. It had an awesome botanical garden with a unique collection of strange flowers and plants. We had coffee in their cafeteria which was strong, aromatic and not burned (like what S*arb*cks serves). We were supposed to get the bill but failed. One of the brothers pick up the bathroom routine and violently pushed me away and paid for the bill. This time was not Kenny’s fault.

We are coming home tomorrow and hopefully our trip will go smooth.
